Privacy policy

LugRush is a free game. It collects as little as it needs to save your progress, sells nothing, and shows no ads. This page says exactly what is stored, where, and how to delete it.

Playing without an account

You can play without signing in. Then nothing about you leaves your device: your best time and score, the flights you have played (so they can be added to an account if you sign in later) and which in-game messages you have already seen are kept in your browser's own storage (or the app's, on a phone). Clearing the site's data in your browser removes them.

Playing with an account

Signing in (with an email and password, or with Google) lets your progress follow you between devices. Then we store:

• Your sign-in details: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google, held by Firebase Authentication to let you sign in. Your email is never shown to other players.
• Your progress: your totals, the upgrades you have earned, and one entry per airport you have landed at.
• The flights you play: for each one, when it was played, the route, how far you got, your times and your score, and which version of the game and which kind of device (web, Android or iOS) it was played on.
• Your public name and best score, so other signed-in players can see the Frequent flyers leaderboard and how they compare. The name is one we make up for you (such as "Swift Falcon 342") unless you choose your own; it is never your email or your real name unless you type it.

Who handles the data

LugRush runs on Google Firebase: Firebase Authentication for sign-in, Cloud Firestore for your progress, and Firebase Hosting for the website. Google processes this data on our behalf, and, like any web server, Firebase Hosting keeps short-lived technical logs of requests (such as IP addresses). We do not use analytics or advertising services, we do not share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.

Deleting your data

Open your account in the game and choose Delete account. That permanently deletes your account, your progress, every flight you have played, and your public name and score, straight away. To remove what is kept on a device, clear the site's data in your browser, or uninstall the app.

Children

LugRush is a general-audience game. It asks for no personal details to play, and an account is optional.
